Dr. Stellah Onyiego is a highly experienced academician and administrator within the education sector in Kenya, boasting over two decades of teaching and administrative roles in higher institutions of learning. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Communication Studies from Moi University, Eldoret, along with a Master of Philosophy in Communication Studies and a Bachelor of Arts from the same institution. Additionally, she obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from Kenyatta University.
She has held roles such as member of Council, Kenya Institute of Mass Communication, Chief Principal at Kitale Technical Training Institute, and Senior Principal at Sigalagala Technical Training Institute, among others.
Stellah has contributed significantly to academia through her research and publications, focusing on areas such as communication studies, language use in healthcare marketing, and the influence of media on youth perceptions. She has supervised Masters and PhD theses and has attended various conferences to further her knowledge and expertise in her field.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Stellah is actively involved in professional bodies and committees, such as being a founding member of the Language Association of East Africa, a member of the Media Council of Kenya, and serving on various committees within educational institutions.
