The Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) which is the premier government agency for the provision of Standards, Metrology and Conformity Assessment (SMCA) services in Kenya, conducted a three-day audit exercise from 25th – 27th October, 2021 in an effort to recertify the institution as an ISO 9001:2015 compliant.
While flagging off the exercise, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Lucy W. Irungu, thanked the audit team from KEBS for their acceptance to conduct the audit exercise which is very important to the University as it would assure that the Institution’s management system in place achieves the specified objectives and allows the Institution to identify areas for continuous improvement.
The Vice-Chancellor acknowledged the Directorate of Quality Management Systems and Performance Contracting for planning and coordinating the audit exercise. She encouraged the auditees, whom included the Top Management of the University, to co-operate with the auditors so as to ensure the envisaged audit objectives are achieved.
