MACHAKOS UNIVERSITY CELEBRATES THE THIRD COHORT OF ERASMUS+ MOBILITY PROGRAMME STUDENTS

Machakos University is proud to announce that the third cohort of students selected for the prestigious Erasmus+ Student Mobility Programme at Riga Technical University, Latvia, have embarked on their journey. The three students from the School of Engineering and Technology departed the country on 10th January, 2025 heading first to Cairo, Egypt to process their Latvian visas. The students will participate in the Spring Semester (January 2025 – June 2025) under the Erasmus+ KA171 Mobility Programme (2022-2027).
The students are Joseph Ababu Alela, Haron Kipkoech, and Meshack Limo Kitum, from the School of Engineering and Technology. Their participation is expected to further strengthen the ties between Machakos University and Riga Technical University while enriching their academic and professional experiences.
This third cohort will join the second group of students who travelled to Riga Technical University (RTU) on 13th September, 2024. The second cohort includes Wedgener Sindani Mugatsia from the School of Agriculture, Environment and Health Science, and Ariel Matara from the School of Engineering and Technology.
Participation in the Erasmus+ Mobility Programme underscores Machakos University’s commitment to global engagement and academic excellence. The programme not only allows students to gain exposure to diverse educational systems and cultures but also equips them with skills and experiences that enhance their competitiveness in the global job market.
