Machakos University Rover Crew Honored with Leadership Recognition Certificates

The Student Rovers crew accompanied by their patron Ms. Ann Nthenya, presented the semester activities to the University Management, highlighting a diverse array of community-centered projects and leadership initiatives. These efforts reflect the core scouting values of discipline, service, and responsibility, and underscore the scouts’ dedication to making meaningful contributions within and outside the University.

As part of their ongoing development, the rover crew underwent a series of specialized training sessions aimed at enhancing their leadership capabilities and scouting proficiency. This culminated in the awarding of official Rover level certificates—signifying a new milestone in their journey as empowered young leaders prepared to take on broader societal roles.

In a symbolic and affirming gesture, Prof. Mugendi M’rithaa, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor – Administration, Planning and Finance, was officially conferred as a scout during the event. Prof. M’rithaa commended the scouts for the active role in strengthening the University’s co-curricular portfolio and emphasized the value of producing holistic graduates grounded in service and leadership.
