Machakos, 28th February 2025 – Machakos University marked a significant milestone today as it held a groundbreaking ceremony for the second phase of its perimeter wall project. The event, led by the University Council Chair, Dr. Gatama Gakahu, was attended by university officials, contractors, and stakeholders, signaling the start of a transformative infrastructure upgrade aimed at enhancing the institution’s security and aesthetic appeal.

The project, which Corban Construction Limited is undertaking, is expected to bring a modern and visually appealing perimeter wall to the university. During the ceremony, engineers from the construction firm unveiled detailed plans and timelines, assuring stakeholders of their commitment to timely delivery and high-quality workmanship. The project is set to commence fully on the 10th of March 2025 and is scheduled for completion by the end of June 2025.
Dr. Gatama Gakahu emphasized the importance of the project in creating a secure and attractive environment for students, staff, and visitors. “This perimeter wall is not just a physical structure; it is a symbol of our commitment to providing a safe and conducive learning environment.
