Master of Science (Chemistry)

Holders of Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc) with at least an upper class honours OR

Holders of Bachelor of Education degree (B.Ed) with at least an upper 2nd class honours degree and who have studied chemistry either as a major or as a regular subject.

Master of Science (Mathematical Modelling and Computation)

Bachelors Degree in relevant field (Second Class Upper)

Bachelor of Science (Statistics and Programming)

KCSE Mean Grade C+ (Plus) with atleast B(Plain) or equivalent in Mathematics C+(Plus) in English and C(Plain) in Physics

OR

Must have a Minimum of C (Plain) at KCSE and a Diploma in Statistics with at least a credit pass from an institution recognized by the University senate.

Bachelor of Science (Mathematics and Computer Science)

KCSE Mean Grade C+ (Plus) with at least B(Plain) or equivalent in Mathematics C+(Plus) in English and C(Plain) in Physics

OR

Must have passed with a credit at Diploma level in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any other relevant Diploma to be determined by the department of Mathematics, Statistics & Actuarial Science at Machakos University & must have at least C+ (plus) at KCSE or equivalent.

OR

Mean grade of C- (Minus) at KCSE and progressed from certificate to Diploma at Machakos University or any other recognized/accredited institution.

Bachelor of Science (Mathematics)

KCSE Mean Grade C+ (Plus) with at least B-(Minus) in Mathematics or equivalent

OR

Mean grade of C- (Minus) at KCSE and progressed from certificate to Diploma at Machakos University or any other recognized/accredited institution.

Bachelor of Science in Biology

KCSE Mean Grade C+ (Plus) or equivalent with at least B-(Minus) in Biology/ Biological.

In addition, the student must satisfy any of the following minimum requirement.

Alternative A: Chemistry C+, Physics C (Plain), Mathematics C (plain), Geography B- (minus), English C+ (plus)

Alternative B: Physical Science B- (minus), Mathematics C(plain), Geography B- (minus), English C+ (plus), Agriculture B- (minus)

OR

KCSE mean grade of C (plain) and a Diploma in Forestry, Education (Biology, Agriculture), Applied Biology, Wildlife or Wetlands with at least a credit pass from an institution recognized by the University senate.

OR

Mean grade of C- (Minus) at KCSE and progressed from certificate to Diploma at Machakos University or any other recognized/accredited institution.

Bachelor of Science (Actuarial Science)      

KCSE Mean Grade C+ (Plus) with at least B(Plain) in Mathematics and B-(Minus) in English

OR

Diploma holder in Actuarial Science with atleast credit pass from accredited institution and a C+ in Mathematics at KCSE

OR

Mean grade of C- (Minus) at KCSE and progressed from certificate to Diploma at Machakos University or any other recognized/accredited institution.

Bachelor of science (Analytical Chemistry)

KCSE Mean Grade C+ (Plus) with at least C+(Plus) in Chemistry and Mathematics or equivalent, must have passed in Physics or Biology with a minimum grade of C+ (plus)

OR

KCSE mean Grade C (plain) or equivalent with a Diploma of at least pass in the relevant field of study from a recognized institution.

Bachelor of Science (Applied Physics & Technology)

Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology Mean Grade of C (Plain) at KCSE or equivalent with at least C- (Minus) in Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry and English or Kiswahili. Mean Grade of C-(Minus) at KCSE or equivalent with certificate in related field from a recognized institution
