University Council Members Sign 2024/2025 Financial Year Contract and Tour University Facilities

On Friday, 12th July 2024, the University Council, led by the Chairman Dr. Christopher Gakahu, marked a significant milestone by signing the 2024/2025 Financial Year Contract.

The contract signing ceremony was followed by a tour of several key facilities within the university. Council members had the opportunity to visit the Ajiry Center, an innovative hub designed to equip students with practical skills and enhance their employability. The center serves as a bridge between academic learning and the professional world, offering students a platform to gain hands-on experience.

Next on the tour was the Jitume Laboratory, a facility that emphasizes practical learning and technological advancements. The lab is equipped with cutting-edge tools and technologies, enabling students to engage in research, innovation and development in various fields.

The council members also visited the Luban Workshop, a testament to the university’s commitment to vocational training and skills development. The workshop is designed to provide students with practical training in various trades in the IT field, ensuring they are well-prepared for the demands of the job market. This facility plays a crucial role in the university’s mission to nurture talent and drive technological progress.

During the tour, the Council members were shown the new administration block, currently under construction. The university Clerk of Works provided a detailed overview of the developments, highlighting the progress made and the future plans for the facility. This new administration block is set to enhance the university’s operational efficiency and provide a modern, conducive environment for administrative activities.

Dr. Christopher Gakahu expressed his satisfaction with the developments and stated that the signing of the financial contract and the progress seen in our facilities today are clear indicators of our university’s growth and dedication to providing top-tier education and resources for our students.
