Machakos University Inspires Future Careers at the CECEK Career Expo

Machakos University proudly participated in the CECEK Career Expo held on Saturday, 7th March 2026, at Masinga Boys High School, in Machakos County, where the University engaged hundreds of enthusiastic learners in an enlightening and interactive career guidance session.
The event brought together students from Grade 10, Form Three, and Form Four, who attended in large numbers to explore career opportunities and gain insights into their academic futures. In his welcoming remarks, the host school’s Principal, Dr. Ben Ngatho, applauded the initiative, noting that the expo provided a valuable learning platform for students to better understand the career paths available to them as they prepare for life beyond secondary school.
The keynote speaker, Mr. Morris Ndungi, encouraged students to embrace discipline, effective time management, teamwork, and purposeful career planning, emphasizing the importance of aligning their ambitions with the opportunities presented by the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).
Machakos University was represented by a dedicated team drawn from the TVET Directorate, Admissions Office, and the Corporate Affairs & Public Relations Department. The team was led by Mr. Danson Mbindyo, Deputy Director TVET in charge of Industrial Attachment and Quality Assurance. During the session, the University team showcased the diverse academic programmes offered at Machakos University, explained admission requirements, and highlighted emerging career opportunities in various fields.
Through interactive discussions and mentorship, students received valuable guidance on choosing the right career paths and were inspired to pursue their dreams through quality education at Machakos University.
