Dr. Peter Maangi Mitiambo is a long-serving and skilled management consultant, trainer, lecturer and researcher with working experience in over 20 countries in Africa, serving the public and private sectors as well as NGO client organizations. A member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants, he has also had a successful career, managing finances of a bank, a University and an international organization.

Dr. Mitiambo holds a Doctor of Business Administration and an MPhil both from the Maastricht School of Management, an MBA from the University of Bradford and a BCom from the University of Nairobi. His Doctoral research was on National Competitiveness, comparing Kenya and Ethiopia using the flower sector as the focal point. He is also a certified Balanced Scorecard consultant having been certified by the KPI Institute of Sydney, Australia and the Balanced Scorecard Institute of New York, USA.

Dr. Mitiambo has served as a member of the Board of ESAMI, the Trade Policy Training Centre in Africa (TRAPCA), the Council of the University of Nairobi, among others. Over the years, he has conducted high level, international training programmes in public sector governance and leadership for clients drawn from various countries in Africa.

At the moment, Dr. Mitiambo works as an Adjunct Professor of the ESAMI Business School, handling MBA students.
