Machakos University Welcomes the Next Generation of Professionals

On 6th February 2026, Machakos University successfully inducted Public Service Commission interns and attachees during a formal ceremony held at the university’s Senate Room. The induction was facilitated by the Office of the Registrar, Administration and Planning, and led by the Registrar (AP), Dr. Humphrey Omondi.

The session introduced the interns to the University’s history, governance, values, and operational framework, with strong emphasis on professionalism, ethics, confidentiality, institutional identity, and adherence to official communication channels and dress code. Participants signed an Oath of Confidentiality, affirming their commitment to integrity and discipline.

Specialized briefings followed on records management, security, and ICT & cybersecurity, highlighting responsible information handling, protection of university property, and safe use of digital systems. Interns were also informed about the rollout of ERP systems and the issuance of official University email addresses and staff identification cards.
The induction marked a strong start to the interns’ professional journey, laying a solid foundation for meaningful engagement, personal growth, and effective service delivery as they integrate into their respective departments.
