Introduction
Machakos University Innovation and Exhibition Week is a key annual event in the university calendar, dedicated to promoting innovation and entrepreneurship. The event serves as a catalyst for innovation, supporting incubation, startups, and the growth of the university’s innovation ecosystem. In addition, it provides a dynamic platform for local innovators to showcase solutions, connect with industry experts, and build strategic business networks.
The University organizes the event in collaboration with local partners and stakeholders. The purpose of the Innovation and Exhibition week is to contribute towards a vibrant innovation ecosystem and entrepreneurial culture through, showcasing innovation, research dissemination, incubating innovation & ideas, startup creations, networking, capacity building, investment, and support opportunities.
This year, Machakos University is set to host the 8th Innovation and Exhibition Week on 12th and 13th March 2026 at Machakos University Sports Ground. The theme this year is “Innovation for Sustainable Development and Healthy Futures,” this event will bring together innovators, researchers, industry leaders and students to showcase transformative solutions for a better future.
The event will provide a platform for students, faculty, and external stakeholders to display innovations and explore career opportunities. Participants will engage in exhibitions, expert talks, and interactive sessions, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange.

Targeted area and beneficiary
The event is meant for a wide range of stakeholders including students, researchers, start-up or small enterprise; innovators or entrepreneurs thinking about starting a business; an investor or venture capitalist. A total of Fifty (50) Innovators and Exhibitors are expected to participate in this year MksU Innovation and Exhibition Week. The Innovation and Exhibition area shall be divided into the following sub themes:
