Machakos University has strengthened its transport capacity with the addition of a new van, bringing the University’s fleet to eight. The University’s newly acquired van was officially flagged off on 14th April 2026 by CPA Felix Kilonzi on behalf of the University Council. The ceremony was attended by Council Members led by the Chairman, Dr. Peter Maangi Mitiambo, alongside members of the University Management and senior staff.

This milestone reflects the University’s continued commitment to enhancing student welfare by improving mobility for academic trips, co-curricular engagements, and official university activities. The expanded fleet is set to provide more efficient, reliable, and accessible transport, ensuring that students can fully participate in learning experiences beyond the classroom.
The acquisition of the new vehicle forms part of a broader institutional effort to promote student wellbeing and safety. The University has been steadily investing in key initiatives, including improved infrastructure, enhanced support services, and ongoing development projects aimed at creating a safe, conducive, and student-centered learning environment.
By prioritizing mobility, safety, and overall student welfare, Machakos University continues to foster greater access to opportunities, enrich the student experience, and support holistic development.
