Principal Secretary Assesses Progress of New Administration and Tuition Block at Machakos University

Dr. Beatrice Inyangala, the Principal Secretary in the State Department for Higher Education under the Ministry of Education, visited Machakos University on 24 April 2026 to assess the progress of the new Administration and Tuition Block, following its partial completion and handover on 21 April 2026, making it ready for use under a six-month defect liability period.

The visit was hosted by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joyce Agalo, alongside members of the University Management Board, including the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, Planning & Finance, Prof. Florence Memba, Registrar, Administration & Planning, Dr. Humphrey Omondi, and Chief Finance Officer CPA Francis Wambua.

Dr. Inyangala expressed satisfaction with the steady progress of the project and commended the Vice-Chancellor for her exemplary leadership in steering it towards near completion. She further noted that Phase II of the project (Tuition Block) is firmly on course for completion by 2 September 2026, marking a significant milestone in strengthening the University’s infrastructure and capacity to support quality teaching and learning.
