Bachelor of Science (Electrical & Electronic Engineering)

The Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering programme provides students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in electrical power systems, electronic circuits, control systems, instrumentation, and emerging engineering technologies.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must have obtained a minimum KCSE mean grade of C+ (plus) with the following subject requirements:

  • Mathematics: B
  • Physics (or Physical Sciences): C+
  • Chemistry (or Physical Sciences): C+
  • English: C+

Applicants who studied the following subjects with C+ or above will have an added advantage:

  • Geography
  • Metal Work
  • Power Mechanics

Alternative Entry Requirements

Candidates may also qualify through the following:

a) A principal pass in Physics and Mathematics in KACE with a subsidiary pass and at least a credit in Chemistry and Biology or Geography in KCE.

b) A Diploma (minimum pass) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from an institution recognized by the University Senate.

c) A Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.

d) Any other equivalent qualification approved by the University Senate.
