University Council and Management Board Deepen Strategic Engagement in Naivasha

Members of the University Council led by the Chairman, Dr. Peter Maangi Mitiambo, convened in Naivasha together with the University Management Board (UMB) under the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joyce J. Agalo from the 22^nd to 26^th June 2026.

The workshop brought together Machakos University leadership to deliberate on matters spanning the three divisions: Administration, Planning & Finance (APF), Academic & Student Affairs (ASA), and Research, Innovation & Linkages (RIL).

Dr. Mitiambo reaffirmed Council’s commitment to supporting institutional growth through resource mobilization and policy oversight. Prof. Agalo underscored the University’s dedication to excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement, noting that collaborative leadership remains central to Machakos University’s mission of Co-creating Sustainable Futures.

The workshop concluded with renewed resolve to foster synergy between Council and Management, ensuring that Machakos University continues to thrive as a hub of academic distinction and societal impact.
