Machakos University Inspires Students at AIC Matungulu Boys Academic Extravaganza

Machakos University participated in the AIC Matungulu Boys High School Academic Extravaganza held on 19th July 2026, reaffirming its commitment to empowering students through career guidance and informed academic decision-making. During the event, the University’s team, comprising Admissions, Directorate of TVET, Career Office, and Corporate Affairs Office representatives, engaged candidates in an interactive career guidance session aimed at helping them make informed choices about their future education and careers. Students were taken through the wide range of academic programmes offered at Machakos University and guided on how to select courses that align with their interests, abilities, and long-term career aspirations.

The MksU team emphasized the importance of understanding subject combinations and how they influence eligibility for various university programmes. Students were encouraged to make thoughtful subject choices that would keep their career options open while positioning them for success in their preferred fields.

The students were encouraged to actively engage in sports, leadership, clubs, innovation, and community service, noting that such activities help develop essential life skills including teamwork, communication, leadership, creativity, and resilience qualities that complement academic achievement and enhance employability.
